All Together Now

Chicago, IL

1500 SF

[H]ospitality

Completed 2019

All Together Now was conceived as a dynamic environment where retail, dining, and social engagement intersect. Situated in Chicago’s Ukrainian Village, the café, bottle shop, and market draw from the ethos of 1970s communal living, balancing nostalgia with purposeful utility. A restrained yet warm material palette—wood-paneled walls, built-in millwork, and a central communal table—establishes a sense of cohesion and informality.

A Brazilian amazonite quartzite bar top acts as a focal point, its organic veining introducing a counterpoint to the structured rhythm of the interior. Referencing the familiarity of a classic diner, the space is designed for interaction, encouraging chance encounters, and an intuitive flow between functions. The result is an adaptable framework that supports gathering, conversation, and the evolving rituals of a connected community.
